On the 9th of May 2024, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, the distinguished Member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani in the esteemed House of Representatives, introduced two additional bills for their first readings.

1. A Bill for an Act to Alter the Provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 to Provide for the Office of Administrator for the Federal Capital Territory Administration Abuja (HB. 1255): The bill aims to elevate the FCT to a status akin to that of a state across various domains.

2. A Bill for an Act to Amend the Police Service Commission Act to ensure its Independence and to make it more effective (HB. 1256): This legislative proposal seeks to amend the Police Service Commission Act with the primary aim of safeguarding its autonomy and enhancing the commission's effectiveness.

Both bills successfully passed their first readings, marking a significant step towards potential legislative reforms.
