As the House of Representatives resumed plenary on 7th May, 2024, Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, the distinguished Member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency of Delta State in the House of Representatives, presented a legislative bill and a petition.
The bill is for An Act to Amend the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria Act, Cap. A12, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 to make provision for the establishment of Federal College of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Utagba-Uno, Ndokwa West, Local Government Area, Delta State (HB. 1312). The bill successfully passed its first reading.
Also, Hon. Ezechi presented a petition on behalf of a constituent, Mr. Gwede Harrison, a cadet ASP in the law department at the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano, who was falsely accused of theft. The petition seeks the intervention of the House of Representatives for his rightful reinstatement and has been forwarded to the House Committee on Public Petitions for review.
