On 20th November, 2024, during plenary, the House of Representatives considered the report of the Committee on Health Institutions on a bill for an Act to amend the Federal Medical Centres Act to establish the Federal Medical Centre, Kwale, Delta State (HB. 680). This bill was sponsored by Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.
Following the Committee's report, the proposed Federal Medical Centre in Kwale has received a favourable recommendation. The bill now awaits its third reading for complete passage by the green chambers.
Additionally, Rt. Hon. Ezechi presented two new bills for their first readings: a bill to establish the National Institute for Construction Technology and Management, Ezionum, Ukwuani LGA (HB. 1332); and a bill to establish the Federal College of Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition, Ossissa, Ndokwa East LGA (HB. 1333).
