On 13th February 2025, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, Member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, today received the leadership and members of the Ndokwa Advancement Network (NAN) in his National Assembly office. The delegation, led by Mr. Emmanuel Maduabuchukwu Amalokwe, expressed profound appreciation for Hon. Ezechi’s remarkable efforts in advancing the development of Ndokwa within a relatively short time. In recognition of his dedication, the group unanimously passed a vote of confidence on his leadership.
The delegation particularly commended Hon. Ezechi’s pivotal role in the establishment of the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale, and sought his continued support to ensure massive employment opportunities for Ndokwa indigenes in the institution. Additionally, the group appealed for intensified efforts towards the long-anticipated step-down of the Okpai Independent Power Plant (IPP) in Ndokwa Nation. They also sought his intervention in the review of the oil production quantum of Ndokwa, a lingering issue affecting resource allocation and development in the region.
In his response, Hon. Ezechi thanked the group for their show of unity and commitment to the advancement of Ndokwa land. He applauded their proactive engagement in tracking the activities of elected representatives, stressing that such vigilance enhances accountability and good governance. Describing the meeting as divinely ordained, Hon. Ezechi reassured the delegation of his unwavering support for all Ndokwa people and organizations genuinely working for the collective good of the masses.
On employment opportunities, he encouraged all eligible Ndokwa sons and daughters to prepare for job openings at the new Federal University, for both academic and non-academic roles. Addressing concerns about the IPP step-down project, he provided updates on his ongoing engagements with the Minister of Power and the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). He assured them that work would resume at the site in earnest. Regarding the oil quantum review, Hon. Ezechi pledged to revisit the matter and pursue a resolution in the best interest of the people.
In a show of appreciation, the Ndokwa Advancement Network nominated Hon. Ezechi as a Patron of the group, a role he humbly accepted.
The meeting underscored Hon. Ezechi’s commitment to inclusivity, development, and responsive representation, reinforcing his resolve to champion the interests of the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency at the national level.
